Foreign National Trade Mark Registrations

There are still many countries that are not part of any collective that allows for multiple international registration.

These include major jurisdictions such as Canada, New Zealand and South Africa.  In circumstances such as that, the only option is to consider independent national registrations in the particular countries concerned.

As part of our service, we will review your international requirements so that an appropriate strategy can be put in place.  There may still be advantages in particular circumstances in pursuing national registrations rather than using the various multinational systems that exist.

We have an extensive network of trade mark attorneys in foreign jurisdictions if it is appropriate to purse a national registration.

Please do consider the need for foreign registration and we would be happy to discuss as part of an effective filing strategy.
